Christos Tarantilis

MP, Professor at Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece


Dr. Christos Tarantilis is a Full Professor at Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and a politician. He was elected as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament (State) with the New Democracy Party on July 2019. He is the Secretary of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on Cultural and Educational Affairs, and a Member of the Special Permanent Committee on Research and Technology. In addition, he was a Member of the Committee responsible for the Revision of the Greek Constitution (2019-2020). He has also served as the Head of the Department of Management Science and Technology at AUEB. Prof. Tarantilis has more than 60 publications in the most well-respected international journals in the field of management science. His publications have received more than 5,000 citations according to the Google Scholar. In addition, both undergraduate and postgraduate/MBA students have recognized his outstanding teaching ability and this is well reflected by his numerous teaching awards the last fifteen years. Prof. Tarantilis has participated in various research and consulting projects both at a national and international level and he has been also acting as member of the Board of Directors in Greek companies and organizations. Finally, he served as the secretary of Strategic Planning and Communication of the New Democracy Party until the winning elections (1/2017-8/2019).
