Journalist, Capital.gr/ Kefalaio newspaper, Greece
Nena Malliara is a journalist of the Economic Press with expertise in the banking sector. She works as a bank editor on the news site Capital.gr since its incorporation, as well as in the newspaper “KEFALAIO”. She is also collaborating with the Forbes magazine.
She began her career in the newspaper “Ependytis”, all along in the banking sector. She then worked for the newspaper “Imerisia”, expanding the banking coverage into the reporting of the interbank market (money market, bonds, F/X), that until then did not exist in the Financial Press. Later on, she worked for the newspapers “Vima”, “Eleftheros Typos” and “Naftemporiki”, having, at the same time, long-term collaboration with the newspapers “Ethnos”, “Kyriakatiki Eleftherotypia”, “Isotimia”, “Axia”, “Symvoulos”, “Metoxos”, “Smart Money”, “Ellada Simera”.
Moreover, she has worked for the financial sites Euro2day.gr and Reporter.gr, in the news agency Telerate and for the financial magazines «KEFALAIO», “Xrima”, “Xrima & Agora”, “Agora”, “Money & Life”and “Oikonomikos Taxydromos”. Furthermore, she has worked on the first exclusively financial TV channel, SBC, belonging to the core group of the journalists who created it.
She studied the Law at the University of Athens. After having received her degree, she also obtained the lawyer’s license and became a member of the Athens Bar Association. At the same time, she was studying journalism, which she later on pursued professionally, at Antenna’s private school.
She has also attended ESHEA seminars on journalism and attained professional skills in Computer Networks, Programming and RDBMS, Graphics – Image Processing, Internet, and has received a certification by ICT Journalism (ICT Europe).
She speaks English and French.
